Corded lift systems are the most common type of lift system for Roman shades. They feature a hanging cord that you pull to raise and lower your shade. When choosing a Roman shade, you can consider things like the look you want to create, the style of your interior decor, and the level of privacy and light control you need.

Inside Mounted:

Measure the window inside width and height. Deduct 3/8 inch on the window width to get the shade width to ensure a proper fit inside the window frame, shade height could be the same as the window height. Ensure you have enough window depth, at least 2 inches.

Outside Mounted:

Measure the window frame width and height. Add 3-6 inches to the window frame width and 8-10 inches to the window frame height. Install on the frame, shade size could be the same or slightly smaller than the window size.
